On Thursday, Apple introduced the iPhone OS 4.0 and has given a sneak peek for the upcoming OS which comes with over 100 new features. Earlier, we published a post showing you the major features including multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox for email, Game Center, iAd and iBooks app.
The new version of iPhone OS will not be available to general public until this summer. However, iPhone developers are allowed to get access to the beta version of iPhone OS. And, some developers have already installed the OS 4 beta on their iPhone and put up videos on YouTube to show off the upcoming features.
If you want to learn more about the new features (say, see how multitasking works or how to group applications in folders), check out the videos after the break.

Earlier this week, iPhone Dev team has confirmed the iPad is jailbreakable with the so-called “Spirit” jailbreak. Yesterday, GeoHot also mentioned in his blog that he has managed to jailbreak the iPad with a screenshot showing blackra1n and cydia installed.
For those who do not heard of GeoHot, he is a reowned hacker in the iPhone community that has developed tools (e.g. blackra1n and blacksn0w) to jailbreak and unlock all models of iPhones running OS 3.1.2.
You can expect GeoHot will provide a free update for blackra1n to jailbreak the iPad. However, the developer does not mention any release date for the update. Hopefully, the blackra1n tool will be available when iPad 3G is released in late April.
