free jailbreak iPhone 4.0 beta 1

free jailbreak iPhone 4.0 beta 1

We already know that you can jailbreak iPhone 4.0, and the iPhone Dev Team has just released a jailbreak for iPhone 4.0 beta 1. If you have a Mac, and an iPhone 3G then you can jailbreak iPhone 4.0 beta 1 using the redsn0w 0.9.5 software to do so. Note that it is pointless jailbreaking your iPhone 4.0 beta 1 right now because the beta is buggy and there will be a lot more beta releases until the final iPhone 4.0 firmware is released.

To jailbreak iPhone 4.0 beta 1, follow these steps:

1. Download iPhone toolbar, click Downloads and then click the download redsn0w 0.9.5 link.

2. Open redsn0w 0.9.5 and browse for your iPhone1,2_4.0_8A230m_Restore.ipsw IPSW file.

3. Select the “Install Cydia” option, click next.

4. Put your iPhone in DFU mode.

5. Cydia will be a blank white icon when you turn on your iPhone. Open Cydia, and add the following source: http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7. The normal Cydia icon and all Cydia apps will show up once you’re done doing that.
